We have new 2.3 auto Ducato based a class motorhome fitted with climate control. On our first trip to Spain try as we might we were unable to get any form of heating to blow down on our feet. It is warm from the face vents but nothing comes out below. Has anybody else had a similar problem and discovers a solution?

My 14 month old x290 only blows warm or hot when engines been hot for a while and on fan speed 2 or higher

It’s on the large list of issues when mine goes back in for a host of issues in a weeks time

I would be very interested to see if they find anything as it doesn’t appear to be that unusual a fault. My local Fiat specialists think it might be something to do with the configuring of the step motors as it appears to particularly relate to those van’s with the comfortmatic gearbox. Does yours have that?

On the X290 (and probably the X250 too) that have comfort-matic auto, there is a footrest on the drivers side which blocks the heater outlet by your feet. Fiat are aware of this problem, as there is a genuine Fiat cxonversion parts to re-route the heater outlet - but it is not a recall, so you have to insist that Fiat provide the relevant parts and fitting - f.o.c.

If you look on ATOC (Autotrail Owners Club) site, you will see more details... search for atocuk ... under General Information ... I can't put the URL, it won't let me as a new user.
