Im new to Fiats for the most part and have been offered a 1981 fiat 124 spider for $4700 and it has 94,119 miles on it. I will be offering less however is this a "good" buy or is this too many miles?

As with any older car buy on condition & history. See if any recalls have been done, check for a good service history & any available bills, there should be plenty if the car has been properly looked after.

Ask the seller how the car has been used... how many owners its had? Make a judgement call, no-one can do that for you.

If no information / details are available I'd walk...

Good background, clear title and has a CarFax not a CarFox! Im just concerned about the mileage more than anything. 100,000 miles on a Ford is a lot different than 100,000 on a KIA for example. Im test driving the car this evening and hopefully it "feels" right.

Thanks, Dave

Yea the Kia should romp it! All my Fords were dead or dying at around 60,000 miles even with decent servicing. My current Fiat is as new at 72,000 miles.

Service history, use profile, Bills history, all are important, far more so than a tug on the heart-strings IMO.
