Bumper making progress

Well the plans for the front bumper are well and truly underway. Its currently down the local bodyshop being resprayed. The section that was missing has been rebuilt and 2 new holes have been cut for the extra radiators in the TD.

The fog lights have been tinkered with and should finish the whole subtle 'thing' off nicely when its all complete and fitted

The bumper will look totally standard but will keep the whole white and black theme going. I had toyed with going all white but I do think white and black does look good.

Price of the work isn't cheap but tbh I know the work will be nothing less than spot on. Used the same bodyshop before on my Metro when I had rust cut out and panelling resprayed. The match and finish was flawless then so I have every confidence the final result will be of high quality.

2 things to deal with when I get the bumper back will be to find a MK2 frong foglight switch panel and fit the whole lot! All good fun

did you use the splitter? if not and it came off in 1 peice would you sell?

No decided against the splitter.

I have no intention of using it so will be looking to sell. Its not in the greatest of nick (ie. needs sanding down a repair that been done). Nowt particularly major. Will take some pics but looking at £15 if you're interested. Will not post tho.

I'm looking forward to seeing this Insy! I'm in need of a bodyshop, I want some bits respraying, so I'll be interested to see the results. You here so many body shop horror stories! When will it be done by?

Chris: Glad Reclamet were able to assist. They've got a huge compound so bound to help somewhere along the line

Yeah be interesting to see how it turns out. I've done a cash deal and been relaxed on when the chap does the work. Said he could prolly have it done for me by end of Thursday but I'm in no rush. Looking at early next week I'll get it back.

I'll post up plenty of pics when I get my mitts on it
