Right, I'm really kicking off with modding the little lass now, going in for its TVR paintjob in two weeks time, tricker TB should be in before that. Gonna look into a strut brace as well.

But seats, basically can you get something that fits bolt for bolt? (if so where) or do you need to redo the whole rig? Any advice/prices/links would be very useful

Cheers all

prices between £150 a pair to £1000's lol. i got saxo sub frames and made them fit, but apparently universal sub frames will fit, bear in mind it will be a bout £60 for each subframe so try and get a package. check out ebay, ( dont forget your harnesses!!!!) xxx

I fitted Reacro's from a Strada Abarth 130TC with little effort, they bolted up to the original bolts holes in the floor using OMP universal base mount frames from Tweeks at about £30 each.

If you want access to the rear remember to get recliners which are more expensive, and its worth remebering that the Cinq is a narrow car and some seats just IMHO look stupid in them as they are too wide.

Aaron.

Those Strada seats look awesome. Are they the ones with the hole for the croutch strap? Fancy a pair but can't find any.

They sure are, proper hard shell seat that relines as well as letting you get access to the back.

There is a pic of a set in the Ritmo/Strada section with them recovered in black leather and they lok great this is what I'll do eventually.

Well if you fancy selling them or you see a pair floating about, let me know! :p

:O but the cinqi has the sei abarth seats! dont get rid of em! there too rare to swap for crappy old buckets!

Rare no, maybe a little harder to come by, but hardly rare as there are hundreds if not thousands of Sei Abarths kicking about which will end up being availablel at some time as they get written off etc

And to be honest if anyone has ever been near a track or even tried going cross-country with spirited driving all seats fitted to Cinq/Sei are not great, there is not lateral support whatsoever which extenuates the feeling of rolling in the car. Whereas something like the Recaro's from the Strada of which less than 700 were ever imported into this country and are therefore like hens teeth to get now, offer amazing support.

The Abarth seats look good, but they are not proper driving seats.

In the year I have owned my Cinq(s) I’ve seen at least 6 sets of Abarth interiors come up on eBay with at least 2 of these going for £50 so there’s not a huge demand for them, whereas I’ve seen only 1 set of Strada seats come up, I bought them.

There are some nice Recaro’s on eBay at the moment there was a whole hi-back Recaro interior from a Mitsi EVO1 on buy it now for £250 only yesterday, and a set of hi-backs on eBay right now but from a Skyline for only £130 last time I checked.

Even the Recaro's from the Ford RS' are a big big improvement on Cinq/Sei seats in terms of ergonomics.

But as with everything in life each to there own.

bleh whatever :p those seats are the dogs..

its all about the rear head rests, cars without rear head rests look rooobish.

But that is so simple to over come, you buy decent front seats and buy fabric to recover the rear bench to match and use the head rests from the front seats in the back, and before you say they don't fit cos there are no holes this si very easy to overcome, i know I did it in my R5GT, and you have a unique interior that is actually worth sitting "in" not sitting "on" as you do with Cinq/Sei seats. :D

Rear head rests are usless except for obscuring rear vision even more than it already is :)
