Hi,
I'm not too keen on the brightness of the standard bulbs on my Bravo. Has anyone fitted anything that is brighter? I'm unsure if they are standard or were specced as an option as the car was a pre-reg.
Any advice very much appreciated.

yeah all after market basically just changin bulbs over

if i remember corectly its

H7 for the dipped bulbs so it would be this kit but with 6000k bulbs i was using for a slightly blue effect on them

the sidelights are where the canbus system gets annoying ive tried 3 different LED but the canbus system overode all the bulbs i tried so i just delt with the orange warning light :)

Cheers mate, I've just had a gander under the bonnet and I think I might have Bi-xenons. Any fool proof ways to know for definite? Can you tell i'm not very clued up? lol

it will probably have a big sign saying danger electrics under there and if you do have bixenons on then your not gonna get any brighter i think :) just have to put up with the **** poor lighting the bravo has :D

Thanks a lot for all your help tonight.
It turns out I don't have xenons and i'll now be more comfy come this winter when i'll actually be able to see the road ahead. Can't wait to change the ones on the same side as the battery mind you!! lol.

compared to how much room i have in the corolla to change a light bulb the bravo is like the grand canyon :D

Man them lights are bright Daz.

I'll say this much, the GP's standard H4's are far better then the Phillips H4's I had in the Sei.
I only changed the Sei's light's as they were like holding 2 dim candles to your face to try & see the road ahead, I sometimes had to use the Fog light's just to see the road markings.

And even on dipped Beam in the GP people still flash their light's at me.

I uprated all the bulbs on my ex-Stilo not that long before selling, to be fair I felt on main beam the lights were fine but dipped they were sh1te. Changing all the bulbs was character building if (like me) you have shovels for hands.
I went for a Lucas bulb, uprated over standard. Part of the problem I've found with many modern Fiat group cars is the lights on dipped are just crap, uprating the bulbs improves things but it's more about the light pattern IMHO. HID conversion has mileage provided the light adjusters (automatic self-levelling on the Stilo and Bravo) are working correctly.
Main beam on my Alfa is great, even with uprated bulbs (can't remember which ones) on dipped has only been a marginal improvement. Oddly enough the Fiat Sedici I was running around in (so really a Suzuki SX4) had great lights on dipped so my feeling it's just a Fiat group 'thing'.
