My Tempras brake pump went again so I've decided I've had enough of it and cannot see the point in having a £500 repair done to a car that not worth as much.
Ther car is a runner in other respects and has a long MOT on it still and being an estate, it would probably make an ideal "farm" (i.e. off the highway) vehicle for many years to come. But if nobody is interested in the whole car, I'll be breaking it for spares.
It is a Red 1.9TD SX SW on a 1994 L plate. The paint has faded but all the panels except the bonnet are sound. The interior is complete but the seats are nothing special. It has a digital dashboard and surprisingly all the electrics still work, including the windows, mirrors and the sunroof. It is fitted with roof rails and I have the roof bars for it.
The space saver and jack are in good nick.
IT HAS INTACT WIPER ARMS!! (these are like rocking horse poo, I know!).
It has alloy wheels with 1 good tyre, two very good tyres and one BRAND SPANKING NEW MICHELLIN - I had it fitted (cost me £43) the day the brake pump failed for good.
The rear wheel bearings assemblies are less than 12 months old, as is the battery which cost me £80 from Halfords. The front brake discs and pads are less than 3 months old too (discs cost around £60 a pair).
The fuel pump and the turbo charger both seem okay, the engine runs well and the gearbox is fine apart from a crunchy 3rd gear sometimes when cold.
The car has a detatchable towing hook on it.
