Bravo MK2 - Need a quick answer

Bravo Mk2. When did they start to build? I have heard from 1999. But I need to know when exactly. Did they start to build from January 1999 and is that the time when Mk1 stop to build

there was an overlap as they got rid of older parts. Mine is a mk1 with a mk2 engine/gearbox and is a 98

so if i am buying mk2 with march 1999 it should be mk2

easiest way to tell is if it is a mk1 1.6 it will say 1.6 16v on the front wing, if it's a mk 2 it will say 100 16v

No not necessarily, look for the MK2 tell tale signs.

Digital Mileometer,
BHP badges rather than the engine size,
etc

that my friend looks like a MK2 to me, but if you find out the year of the car i can give you a more definate answer, but as i say, i am pretty sure that it is indeed a MK2
