Guys

I am going to add a new section to the Bravo-Guide, this time regarding speed camera locations and knowledge on unmarked cars, hot spots for traps etc. I am NOT interested in speed camera's in residential areas, for two reasons, a) there are too many and b) you should not be speeding in those areas.

So if you know information on the above please EMAIL me the info and I will put it together. The sort of thing I am after is

A419 - Stow-On-The-Wold 50mph limit Speed Camera South Bound

A46 Between Straford-Upon Avon and Bidford 60mph limit Speed camera South bound behind trees

M5 Devon and Somerset Section - Umarked dark green Ford Galaxy's

M69 - Unmarked Subaru Imrezza - light green

Cheers

M74

Junction 17 on the M74 (south bound) is a famous one (as I know to my cost) long slip road and police often sit at the top in their T5!!!

STOP!!!!!!

In my research on this I have found a site much better than I could put together. I am going to put something together, but not 100% sure of the content yet, except driving, skills, courses, speeding advice etc.

Anyway the link is

http://www.speedcamerasuk.com/SpeedCameraDirectory.htm

thanks to all of you who contributed here and emailed me thus far.

Also...

http://www.ukgatsos.com
for yet another list of the locations..

also some of the local police sites list the locations of cameras for example:
http://www.southyorks.police.uk/traffic/traffic-fixed-cameras.htm
http://www.derbyshire.police.uk/safetycameras/#mobile
http://www.south-wales.police.uk/sp_depts/speed_cameras/
and

http://www.speed-trap.co.uk
for lots of legal info.

Maybe a page on the Bravo-guide with list of links to all these sites and a description of what they have, how good etc.

Unmarked cars

The unmarked cars idea is good in principle, but it doesn't really work...

At a place I used to work all the staff used several motorways every day and the staff started a list on a white board listing all the unmarked cars they'd seen. They listed make, model, colour, reg etc. and found that it was very rare that the same car was seen more than about 3 times. They came to the conclusion that they swap them around between counties.. :(
