Does anyone else suffer from this?
I've got a '96 Bravo 1.8 HLX with 82k miles which I've had from new. Since it was serviced at 72k by my main dealer it hardly ever starts first time - the only advice from Fiat was to wait until the Key Code light on the dash goes out - and this doesn't always work!

Anyone else know different?

same here

i have a 00 1.2 sx and it was always playin up, brought it to garage and they said i was startin car wrong by not allowing fuel injection to kick in! Bullshit! My friends doesnt do that! And when it did start the engine wud dip as if to conk out but then revived! goin to fiat dealer now cos other day it wudnt start at all! They say they need to run comp diagnosis on fuel injection and some other crap! Will let you know what happens!! Course I know nothin about cars so this cud be totally unrelated!!!

fiat!

never take your car to the dealer or youll be touching your toes and getting shafted quicker than a skyline gtr!
i had the same problem turned out to be the solenoids needed rubbing down on the starter motor im by no means a mechanic but i got a haynes manual read through it found the starter under the battery (1.8hlx) removed the connector give it a rub down with some wet and dry paper and fannys your aunt, bobs ye pet monkey startin bravo 1st time evry time
Cost 1 haynes manual 15quid
saving on fiat charges id guess at at least 100+ nice dont be robbed by the bastards :))

thanks guys

only discovered this website a couple of days ago and it's great - everything you need!! read through some earlier problems other people have had and have more answers to the bad starting (see June 23rd).
