Does anyone happen to know off the top of their head what size hex wrench is required for the oil drain plug in the sump of a late '96 HLX?

Also, I noticed that my front discs are a bit worn now and need replacing. Anyone got any recommendations for where to get them, or is it just a case of going into Fiat? Any recommended better performance upgrades - Mintex etc?

Thanks,

Steve

Brake discs

Depends on what you want to spend, EBC do uprated plain rotors for about £70 4 the pair, i got them the next day from larkspeed (Yeah i took the advice and stayed away from the drilled discs...go on nige) A little cheaper than Fiat who wanted £46 each + vat, Pad's I got ferrodo from halfords @ £25.99 again a bit cheaper than Fiatwho wanted £37 + vat. No complaints about them, just about bedded in now and a lot better than the Fiat ones ever were. The part number for the EBC discs is D805 or D393 (same part)

mintex

hi there,

i got mintex pads and fiat disks on my 97 bravo hlx and they do seem to stop an awful lot better than the nasty fiat ones ever did, but still under relly, constant heavy braking they do fade and not gradually either!
wil be looking to get some tarox pads and discs but they are v expensive.

Discs and Pads

I got quated 200 for Black Diamond combi discs and pads fitted by Unicar in Leeds, couldn't take em up on it though as I was short of cash, also back read some other threads, about a week ago long thread about the merits of Crass drilled and grooved discs.
