General Bravo 1.6 MJ 105

Hi guys,

I have bought a used 2009 Bravo 1.6 MJ 105 and am just looking for some tips.

There is a service history with it but it is all over the place, so what is a good list of things to check with my Bravo after I get it home?

Are there any service/workshop manuals around? I can't seem to find a Haynes for the model which is quite unfortunate.

Check the gearbox has no whines or any difficulty finding gears as they are rare for the 1.6 105

Thanks for that! The gearbox is fine as of now, plus it is as nearly 120k miles so I think it would have given trouble by now if it was bad.

My reverse gear is bottom-right and I am led to believe that means its not the dreaded M32 gearbox.

One issue I have is that the front washer jets don't work, while the rear work fine. Now when I activate the front there is no motor sound, which means it's the fuse or stalk. The wipers don't activate either so I presume its the stalk. Apart from actually replacing the stalk, has anyone ever torn it down and cleaned/fixed the actual contacts?
