My Bravo (a 1.4 12v) is just over 3 years old, and is away to get it's second replacement alternator fitted, after the last one was fitted just over 10 months ago.
The FIAT dealer replaced it with a Lucas one, because "FIAT don't make alternators" the service manager said. Is this really the case?
The part will be replaced under warranty, but I'm still going to be charged 1hrs labour to get it fitted because "it's not a genuine FIAT part".
This time, the diagnosis is the voltage regulator in the alternator. When the engine is running at idle speed, the voltage to the battery is almost 18v.
Has anyone else experienced a problem like this with their Bravo.
