Brava 1.4 sx gear change trouble

Any assistance would be welcomed regarding a fault on my Fiat Brava 4.1sx P reg 5 speed manual change. The gear change seems to have rotated to the right by itself 1st and 2nd gears are now in central positions, so I have now lost 5th and reverse. The gear stick will not go over to the left of the access window in the tunnel. Any technical assistance will be very much appreciated.

Hi Dan, what do you mean by 'give it a tug and it will pop out',
I forgot to mention that car still drives in gears 1 to 4 inclusive.
Just 5th and reverse are unatainable due to gear lever butting against surround on right hand side (inside car).
