This time I am back with Brakes problem.

When I press the brake pedal (when engine is 0ff and running),there is a sound at the pedal. Sound resembles like airleak ( from vacuum to air or vice versa) Some times braking is not effective. Do i need to change the booster etc..? Please advice.

Thanks
Anil

Does this air leak effect braking in ayway, does the pedal 'go down' at all, as in creep..?

Dear Tom,

Pedal doesn't go inside. If I try to push the pedal inside( when engine is idling) there is airleak sound coming under the dash board and few seconds later engine stops as if there is a lean mixture or lack of petrol supply.

I think this has been due to the torned vaccum booster diaphram . I will check with the mechanic and come back to you.

Thanks
Anil
