This has already been asked before but i was wondering what are a good make of performance pads to go for on the front. As i have the engine from the 16v turbo coupe in it would prefer a decent set of pads on the front.

Basically what make have people gone for and where can i get them?

someone must be earning a good wage lol:D mintex have always stopped me and never felt like i've had a big hole ripped in my pocket after buying them. think these expensive brakes are over rated, if you keep a good eye on the road you dont need them:)

plus theres always the point that they are made in yorkshire like most great things:p

wouldnt say a good wage more like saving the pennies :D im goin for uprated pads so that jst feel bit better knowing that i have good brakes to stop the car as it is the first turbo car ive owned as well. hows urs comin along mate?

its sort of stopped progress at the moment mate, im trying to get my vw bora on the road, just waiting to find bonnet and n/s front wing in the right colour for it then i can pull tipo off road and give her a good going over.

Try green stuff or yellow stuff.

I've black diamond discs and pads - were good on the track day until the discs began to warp. Only had brake heat failure once - glad it was on the aproach to knickerbrook as I could just sneek through the cones and go straight on. (y)

Talking about performance on braking, I could suggest new brake flexible pipes like Goodridge (http://www.goodridge.co.uk/car-brake-lines/).
I just get two pairs for my Tipo from an UK eBay seller, they are made with teflon pipe protected by a mesh of inox steel and with connectors made of inox too.
After overhauling all my brake system, with these flexible installed, I got one of the best brakes I ever tried. No more sponge feelings on heavy stops.
