Technical Brake Light Switch and No Reverse Lights

mornin lads and lasses!
My brake light switch works the instant i touch the pedal i adjusted it a couple of weeks ago because it was doin the same thing and it was fine for a few days but now shes doin it again sometimes when i hit a dip in the road it knocks CC off... Is it shot or is it something ive done?

Also i have no reverse lights or reverse linked rear wiper... Gonna look at fuses today but wondered if there was a 'common' fault

Yes, common fault is that the reverse light switch has failed. It also feeds the rear wiper when reversing with front wipers on.

With regards to CC richy and it falling out over certain dips in the road, mine does the same on certain bad ones. I not 100% sure but have always assumed it were a safety feature incase youve come off the road and flown into a field etc

if it is ive not heard of it! mind you these things keep surprising me... i figured if the jolt was hard enough maybe the CC 'kill' half of the switch would activate before the brake light half... if that makes any sense

at a guess it would be a parameter in FES but i dont ever recall seeing it

I don't recall seeing rear wiper deactivate in FES. Only deactivation I've know is disconnect wiper motor or reverse switch.

new reverse switch fitted today

normal service has been resumed

after re adjusting my brake light switch CC is working properly too
