Technical Brain box?

hi, what is a brain box and what does it do?

i'm looking at a cinq for sale which apparently needs a replacement. this results in the car sometimes not starting. it senses when the ignition has been turned on and starts the car.

is there another word for this item?

My guess would be 'ECU', but it could be the code box for the immobilser.

Whatever, you can get uncoded chips for SPi easily.

IF it is, i'll got an 899 one, uncoded works for 899 and sporting SPI
