Hello everyone,
I have a favour to ask of UK owners of Fiat 500 1.2 petrol 2018 cars or later.
Would you look through each of the front wheels to the back wall of the wheelarch and see if there is a metal bracket (about 30cms x 5cms) mounted vertically from the body to a metal beam which goes to the front of the car (pic attached).
You should be able to see this easily by shining a torch onto the back wall of the wheelarch.
Please post your results here and identify whether you have one on the driver's side, the passenger side or both.

I took my car in for a bracket fitting after I heard something which sounded as if it fell off the car whilst travelling on a motorway. This was just after a new cambelt was fitted and I thought that this bracket had to be removed to access the cambelt cover.

I was told that brackets were fitted up to and including 2017 cars but not on 2018 or later cars. Not convinced about what I have been told hence this request.
If most people have them then I will go back to garage with the info.
Thanks in advance.

For item 2 in this diagram from the Fiat parts catalogue, there's a side note that says: "C21939 - REMOVAL OF THIRD LINE RH/LH LOAD LINKS AND RELATED FASTENERS - DATE 24/11/2017" Meaning they were not fitted after that date.

Thanks for that Jackwoo & Davren. Looks like they are not there.
Love the parts catalogue drawing Davren, if I had had access to that I would have already known: Is it available online?
