Bought 1st car, mk1 1.1l Punto (in bad shape) and thought I'd join this forum! :)

Previous owner didn't care for it at all
new air filter, oil splashing into air box because of f**ked up rocker gasket (I think?) it's doin ok now. cracked breather hoses.
Havin a nightmare removing the oil drain plug!!!!
Last hope is a air gun... oil is in very bad shape and none in the dipstick at all.
Cooling system doesn't seem to be working, (fan not spinning or radiator warm) then again only run it for 10mins max. coolant water runs out very fast though.
broken locks and passenger door broken... bought a new lock set
Need new tyres badly lol
and few body dents which i'll sort out soon!!
that's about it really.
Gonna get some ICE when engines happy.
Oh my first car too and had no previous experience with cars and i'm having alot of fun!

Cheers I just hope it's not the main head gasket that is leaking or piston rings need replacing. there's ALOOOOOT of oil ALL around the engine, but it starts from the rocker cover gasket so it might be that and OR head gasket/piston
gonna have fun cleaning the engine aswell...lol :yuck:

why did you buy it if its in that bad state?

but i guess it could be a good project, it would need alot of time and attention to get sorted, but should all be good fun .

Not bad, will be fun getting back to good as new
I have an mk1 punto with the sides dented to hell by doors, seems no one takes care when the effing park next to me lol

Cos I bought it for £75 and I believe one should know how things work inside and out if they ever buy one to maintain it
yeah, fun so far. ordered head gasket set for £20...

F**k them, i'm gonna try my best not to park too close or hide my car somewhere at the back of the car park lol
hope it don't happen to me. already got dents
