General boot open light

can you get the micro switch out of the boot lock or do you need a new lock the boot open is on the dash

Had that problem a couple of years ago.....just blasted the assy' with WD40......solved it, been fine since.
That said, could be I was lucky, perhaps your switch has failed....still, worth a try !
