Boot light Stays On?

any1 got a clue why it stays on? my battery goes dead too because of it? what can it be? also any1 know where the boot light switch is located on a MK2? cheers

Open the boot. Look up at the lock mechanism. Remove the plastic cover around the mechanism and you'll find the switch for the boot light.

i havent got that its a mk2? dont it have a microchip or something ?

Well if you dont have it then you've either got a MK1 or the Boot has been changed sometime in the past for a MK1 Boot.

Keval sorry for me being late - had some stuff to do yesterday.
Here is the position of the micro switch.
Open the boot and remove the black plastic cover that is on the lock mechanism.

Then after removal you will see the switch like on the pic.

That is if you have an MK2
