Boost on a Bravo/Punto JTD

Is it posible to turn the boost up on the bravo/punto JTD's standard turbo?, and if so what can they handle(ish) without becoming a problem.

Only reason i asked this question after looking at Bravo's i cant really find anyone's i want so thinking of a JTD Punto seems as i cant find any JTD bravo's and after driving the 1.8 Bravo i agree seems a bit pointless going for a 1.2. So a JTD Angel Tuned seems best and quickest option.

what will a performance exhaust do for a diesel i only really wanted a petrol car because i like the sound of them with air filter ect, and exhaust.

Any advice/help/ideas, would be appreciated for future referances lol.

As far as I understand a remap involves upping the boost pressure of the turbo. As for an exhaust it will do the same effect on a diesel as a petrol engine in terms of BHP gains possibly more because its a turbo. Don't think it will sound as good as a petrol though. I was thinking about getting a JTD a while back, but my dad convinced me to save up for a V6 Alfa 156.

At then end of the day you either want a 155+ bhp Bravo JTD that does 40+ mpg or a 130+ bhp Punto JTD that does 48+ mpg. Both cars are more than a match for the equivelent HGT variants whilst having incredible torque and lower running costs.
At idle the JTD sounds ... well like a diesel funnily enough but once off they do actually sound good (the 2.4 alfa sound bloody excellent!). I will tell you what mine sounds like with an ITC back box on next week.
18 months ago I swore I would never own a diesel, I would never now buy a petrol unless there wasn't an alternative (i.e. barchetta). Not everyones cup of tea, but once you have driven one you will know why I own 2 and champion them.

Nige gave me a ride in his Jtd Punto yesterday and it was quite quick. Makes one think that the 156 2.4Jtd must be awesome with 190bhp on tap
