Technical Bonnet releas help

Hi all.
We pulled the bonnet release today on our 2006 (new model) Multipla eleganza but nothing happened. The car was well warmed at this stage so I do not think it was weather related. The lever feels fine and peering in at the front, I can see that the outer cable seems to be moving, i.e. its like it has hoped out of place.

More to the point though, how can I now get the bonnet open? Any ideas?

(The windscreen washer is empty and is badly needed in this weather.)

Anyone able to help out on my bonnet release problem

Try having someone push down on the bonnet as you operate the bonnet release. Alternatively the other person can try 'wiggling' the bonnet from side to side while you tug on the release.

If you've already tried this I can only suggest that you get to the release cable as far forward as possible and try pulling on the cable itself in the hope it'll release.

Got it open!
Thanks for help - I eventually got it open. It appears that the safety latch was jammed against the bonnet some way and this prevented the main latch from opening at all. A bit of not so gentle manoeuvering of the safety latch eventually freed it.
