I've always had a hankering for an 850 Spider (I was a small boy when they were originally on sale
), and I'm sure my Barchetta purchase last year had a lot to do with this. The modern equivalent, as it were..
That said, I've seen an 850 for sale recently and have the funds to buy it, however I don't think a 1960's car with a top speed of 90 MPH - downhill with the wind behind it - would really cut it on today's roads.
Obviously someone else had the same idea, and although it seems a shame to bastardise a classic Italian sports car, I have to smile at the end result..
Bonkers 850 Spider
Cheers,
Plug
