I duno if I've spelt it right, but the aforementioned adhesive that came with my rieger rear hasn't managed to keep the centre part stuck.

I'm suspecting the exhaust to be the culprit, rather than the workmanship of the bodyshop. The vibration has to of caused the clean seperation, but whilst I widen the clearance around the tailpipe to keep it as distant as poss in future, is the infact anything better than the silkaflex stuff (that was supplied with the rieger rear incidentally)?

Sika is a sealant, not really an adhesive. Same with tigerseal.

What is the part made out of?

3 weetabix and four heaped tablespoons of sugar covered with full fat milk - works quite well as an adhesive.

Bonded to the stock plastic bumper? I'd be tempted to use bolts really. Epoxy bonds to FG but not to ABS.

Could you not fibreglass it on the inside, out of sight?

All reger stuff is plastic!

@Nico...i would take it back to the bodyshop...exhaust or not they fitted it and its came away! they should fix it for free!

If i can not plastic weld the parts i always screw the parts together with the sikaflex inplace... as far as i know sikaflex is the best stuff out there!

Just make sure you get the right type there are loads of varieties...hence i think tom is confused, sikaflex make both adhesive and sealents!

(please ignore spelling mistakes, i am in a bit of a rush!)
