hey love the colour. im in the same boat aswel (only cinq tho) ive deided to lower, alloys, and get some sporting bumpers to finalise my looks it seems the best thing to do as like you sed potholes, country roads etc etc.

thanks aza148

Depends what your using the car for, as you say there's a lot of pothots and stuff on the roads so you wouldnt want to be too low and rip a bumper off.

Why dont you look for an abarth or Schumi bodykit from a scrappy? Or a replica one from Ebay? Their not too modified or too low. But i do think just a clean subtle modified car can look just as good. Just don't go over the top with air vents/ducts (please don't go to halfords! :p)

Have a look in members motors to give yourself some ideas

Cheers

Jamie

lol dont worry im not going to halfords i was thinking of lowering by 20mm and getting a freind to respray my car and add some decals (he owns his own spray shop)

awsome theres 2 of thoose ab body kits at a scrappy sitting on the cars XD ill prob get them for £40/60...im hoping

Body kits add weight a dont exactly help if you want to go quickly?

It really depends if you are a boy who wants to go fast, or a boy who wants to look pretty!

its only an 899 so its not going to go fast whever you do to it

IIRC the OP has said he just wants it for looks rather than performance, which is a good thing as he has got the wrong seicento if hes off for perfromance

But he does have something rare though - an R-reg sei, not many of them about

You want to take the ARB and the springs from a sporting, that will help a bit

I never nu that it is kinda rare....iv been talking to a freind he's a mechanic and we have both agreed to leave it stock but with a few diff
lowerd by 20mm, rear windows tinted either a metalic black with decals...spiders web near the back end with a large black widow on the front black 5 spoke alloys with red centre and red trim to go with the black widow...interior will be black with red trim back seats removed, front seats replaced new sound system but with enuff space in the back for bmx bikes lol....engine will be polished up with all hoses upgrade induction kit fitted with breathers....spark plugs upgraded and battery change to performance battary, exhaust will be a universal exhaust ...brakes and brake pipes upgraded....the reason for the dark theme as iv not seen any 1 else with it 2 I'm really into the alternative scene so the car is part of my personality.....I promise to keep you lot updated

a crossover sei, never seen one of them, i have however seen an s reg cinq, so an r reg sei must be very, very rare, must have been the very first few sold in the uk.

get the sporting suspension on with the arb ;) that'll lower it all you need ;)

i drive (or should that be drove as the cinq is off road) along bumpy country roads too with zero problems, even at a fiat scotland meet, we were on an off road track to take photos, and i had no problems. my cinq is lowered at least 40mm over sporting spec, so 60mm lower than your sei is. i also have teh abarth skirts on and slightly deeper bumpers to standard, but im on 14" wheels, which make a big difference to how the car copes with rougher roads on a drop

All you R-reg sei owners that are crawling out of woodwork ;)

You car isnt worth anymore than any other sei of similar age

sporting suspension will give you a 20mm drop and as said above, get a ARB from a sporting as well.
I wouldn't worry to much about the bumpers, they can look really good with the right wheels on and i never see non sporting seicento bumpers on a done up sei in the UK. Loads of them on centomania.pl though, i considered swapping my sporting bumpers for some from a s when i had a sei.
