Hi All,

My 2016 X is driving me mad slowly. The Bluetooth is slow to connect to my IPhone and sometimes give me the message of device not within range when trying to stream music, even though it’s happy to make Bluetooth calls?!?

I also find if it’s in my pocket or anywhere other than in the front holder under the radio by the gearstick it repeatedly cuts out.

Anyone else have this? Do you think my radio is faulty?

Thanks

Never had any streaming or connection issues with my Uconnect 6.5. I'm using Spotify with an Android phone. I keep my phone in the pocket, no cutouts, nothing.

Sometimes it fails to auto-start or continue the streaming when I start the car, but I blame it on the phone's way of managing the paired devices, as I found no fault on the head unit's part.

I think I may have read elsewhere about this, however I have never had any faults myself. Mine works perfectly (Android).

If i remember correctly though I think I did see someone complaining that Android was fine in their car but Apple was a bit dodgy. Not sure though.

No ours is OK - I was expecting confusion when both mine and the wifes phones were in the car together as both had been paired but all works ok.

Defiantly a problem with my unit then. My old company car, or should I say van (a new transit connect) had Bluetooth. As soon as I turned the ignition on my phone was connected and would start streaming.

Mine takes about 30secs to pair and I have to manually select for it to connect to my phone. It doesn’t just connect.

Pressing skip on the steering wheel etc for the next track takes between 5–10secs. As said before if my phone is in my hand or in my pocket, even on the backseat it won’t work without dropping out all the time.

Think I need to call the fiat dealer.

I agree its not the quickest of units - you can tell that by the time it takes to load the Nav maps. But Bluetooth sounds like you have an issue - one for the warranty to take care of...
