:bang: I have a Sony Ericsson W580i - I had one of these previously which linked to bluetooth and had an accident - replaced it with the same make. My new phone will not activate - keeps asking me for the password - which I assume is 1234 as it was the last time!! It just keeps asking - in Italian for the password!! Any help / advice?

It's only a suggestion, but try 0000. On my motorcycle helmet set that's what it is, on my car system (aftermarket, not FIAT) it's 1234.

Oh know I have just bought a a w580i today! I am getting my new car 500 on 1st march I am not opening the phone until then - I hope it works, everyone I know has this says it works fine on everything!

Ok, just looking my bluetooth booklet that came with the car. Try pressing and holding the two buttons on the bluetooth together (red phone and green phone) on the dash, for two seconds or so. That should clear the system memory.
That will clear any existing phones and then try pairing again.
Passcode is 1234 as you are trying.
