General Bloody Speed Bumps!

Hey,

Just a little moan, went over speed bump today and noticed my car got VERY loud...

Looked under and this is what I found its on my friends drive ATM going to have to call AA out tonight to relay it home

WEll, depends where it has broken tbh. If it's a weld on the centre box, then it isn't fixable. It may just be sleved though. Just it back in with some paste and stick a clamp on it.

How far do you live away? I'd just remove the rear section and drive it. Save using AA cover

Just got home, he just strapped other part to car and told me to get new system as soon as. (going to get this weekend) although now it sounds really load and raspy lol I like haha

So he did exactly what kritip suggested then.. they are only pragmatic humans as well you know. What else did you think he was gonna do lol.. They only on rubber hangers you could have done that yourself in 5 mins and chucked it in the back.

the weld where the center pipe connects to the back box broke on mine, as all the insides of the back box were rusted through i took advantage of the hole and pulled out all the wadding and bits of rusted metal.
you could see right through to the other side of the back box when i pulled everything all out, then i just welded it all together again.
there was no noticeable difference in exhaust sound, and the car is still very quiet.

so as silencing goes.. for me its cat converter only! and it works well. (as i dont have a center box)
