Hi, yesterday on the motorway a little stone falling from a truck hit my bonnet.

It took with it a chunk of laquer and paint, about 2 milimeters big and quite visible

Did anyone here do a touch up job on such a relatively big stone chip problem?

i repaired a few on my old car...

1. clean out the chip, scrape it with a pin or very small nail (i mean very small).
2. apply touch up pen to just over level of surrounding paintwork so it sits up slightly with the laquer on top.
3. allow to harden.
4. rub down touch up paint to same level as surrounding area with 3000 grit wet and dry (use it wet).
5. machine polish out if possible, if not, try megs scratch X and AG super resin polish- you will be rubbing it for at least half hour before the scratches from the wet and dry paper dissapear, but they will dissapear eventually- your arm will hurt like a bitch for a week though lol

EDIT: beaten to it. damn you 3225156456123153456161 or whatever your real name is :p
