Big Mini FF Meet

i thought id make a thread to gauge some interest. (sorry if its the wrong section)

the idea currently is to get a meet for everyone from FF and the current plan is for Cannock Chase or somewhere else in the midlands (due to motorway access from the north, south, wales, Scotland and Ireland)

the plan is for it to be around early June on a Sunday as this will be before the schools brake up for the summer but should be good weather and gives people plenty of time to plan whether they will be able to come or not.

thoughts and opinions much appreciated.

Beany_Bot and Me are currently planning for it to be around the 7th of June at Cannock Chase an are in the rocess of finding a big enough car park. but for those that are interested or have any other suggestions please ost in here.

I Concur, it needs to be huge, mandotory attendance! lol. Try get nearly everyone there. people coming for afar can convoy.

The only thing with huge massive meets is that you don't get to meet everyone.

I was bad enough at our Panda meet

well canncok chase itself for a starter which for those that know it is pretty stunning and for those that dont google will explain why.

The only thing with huge massive meets is that you don't get to meet everyone.

true but the ideas it to get everyone together in one place as at the moment most of the meets are pretty regionalised except maybe for skeggy and the BC meet.


edit: also if i recall you can get camping permits for there so that is always a possibility

edit2: and stu the reason i put it here is this is pretty much the only section where pretty much every member posts or reads.

The middle of the UK is the south Lake district, if you count the Islands.

If you don't count the islands, its Dunsop Bridge in Lancashire.

If there is a venue around Wigan, that would be fairer for all.

Yeah i though about that but its most people are in england so i think this is about as fair as i can get. northerers can just bash down the M6

the reason for having it in the middle of england is look on google maps at the motorways and a road etc. its easy for the irish to get the ferry to hollyhead and drive up its easy for the welsh to drive up its easy for the southereners to get up to and easy enough for the northeners as well plus look at the ff map: https://www.fiatforum.com/vbgooglemapme.php?lat=52.515463505982&lng=1.7436504364014&zoom=10

I aint even going to say anything about your middle of the country comment. From the looks of that map there could be a convoy from Glasgow and Newcastle. Very compact.
