Whats the best way to get the silver plastic headunit surround off a mk2 punto without snapping it? I got it off before then with a bit of work and luck got it back on, now I need the HU back out again and its impossible, how do you guys get the silver surround off first of all?

it should only be clipped on, so with the right technical pressure points, it should lever off well with a flat blade screwdriver.

Be careful taking it off. Managed to snap on of the legs on mine

Yep ive snapped two of these things, mine and my sisters when she had a Punto. To keep it held in (when broken) I put everything in as normal, and on that metal cage that holds the HU, I made sure I turned all those little tabs up so that it was secure into the dash. This should hold the facia in even if you snap it (likely )
