Hi,

I've got a hire car which I need to return tomorrow and there is a small scratch on the bumper which I need to sort out tonight.

The bumper is one of those dark grey/black matt plastic bumpers and i very slightly scraped a brick wall. The mark is a very shallow scrath, not much more than a scuff. I've got some of that back to black spray and was intending to try and smooth it out with a fine wet sanding block before applying the black restorer.

It just needs to pass a cursory inspection when they come to pick the car up.

Any other ideas for a quick repair?

Grateful for any advice.

I'd hope so, but it's a hire car provided whilst my car is in for repairs following a non-fault collision a few weeks ago, and I think they are a little bit more tricky to deal with than regular hire companies.

Signing the hire agreement was like signing your life away. Pretty much anything more serious than a piece of fly sh!t will incur a £100 charge.
