Alright,

I would like some paint to match my car i know i need the colour code but im wondering if thier is any specific websites which will mix and send to me because i didn't think much of the service and paint from halfords tbh.

All responses welcome :D Thanks matt

I tried Paints4u website. tTried touching up with brush but wasnt going to well so i tried air brushing it on. it was the correct colour for a couple of hours till it went darker :( tried metallic t-cut and it turned silver so ended up gettin celluse thinners an rubbing it off.

Note that you need laquer for metallic, they mixed it in for me already but im not sure it helped.

Can you not get it in a can?
Then you do one layer colour, one laquer and repeat for 2-3 layers ?

You dont paint like that. few coats of primer few coats of paint and then when the final coat goes tacky spray the laquer on.

Yes I've mixed lacquer and paint for the purpose of touching some chips but anything more spray colour then lacquer. Don't sand the metallic. If the panel is already painted you shouldn't need primer just key the area. You'll needm primer for any areas of filler etc.

This is what i did with my mirrors and they didn't end up quite as glossy as the car and i spoke to someone who had done it the other way i explained and theirs looked a bit more glossy than mine so i thought it would be worth a try.

I was only thinking of doing the plastic bumpers on the sides, which way do you think would be best for this?

Thanks both
