Hi guys,

I'm new on this forum. I actually joined to ask a couple of questions. I'll spread them on separate threads. This is the first one:

I got a Fiat Stilo 1.8 16v from 2001. Sometimes when I put my car on reverse gear it keeps beeping. It doesn't always happen but when it happens, it holds the beep, as in: it doesn't do 'beep beep beep' but 'beeeeeeeeeeee.....{unlimited e's}.......eeeep'.

I'm not sure if I have rear parking sensors which might be broken. I do know that I don't see any parking sensors on my rear bumper.

I'm really not suree what it is but it annoys the hell out of me.

Does this problem sound familiar and are there any fixes I can do for this?

Thanks all.

I would agree it's probably a reversing sensor, but it could also be a reversing vehicle warning (similar to most HGVs). These are somtimes a special bulb with a beeper built in and they simply replace the reversing light bulb. I've never actually seen one but I expect they're visibly different so should be easy enough to check.
