Hi
Looking for technical advice from those with vehicle electrics experience.
I'm new to this forum although I have viewed it a few times over the years and got nuggets of information along the way. Thank you. I've finally registered. So a big a hello from a Newbie.
I've owned a Fiat Ducato Motorhome for 10 years and toured around Europe until this year hit us. Hope for better next year!.
My Fiat supplied Tyre inflator is dead so need to replace it.
I am considering buying a Rac900 tyre inflators or similar. I have a 2011 X250 Ducato based motorhome.
Advice please:
My question is how to connect it to my vehicle.
It could draw up to 23 amps so the cigarette socket and outlet in the dash are not up to it.
It should be connected by crocodile clips to the battery. Can I use the same terminals under the bonnet that you'd attach a battery charger or jump leads to?"
Will that route cope with the 23 amps?
Access to the battery is less than easy and it seems the terminals are not great for crocodile clips anyway. My leisure battery is also difficult to access.
Please point me in the right direct.
