Bad Vibrations!

Hi.

I have noticed recently a few extra vibrations in my Bravo.

The gear stick wobbles a lot more at high speed, and the peddles at high speed seem to have a little more vibration to them.

Also other day, when accelerating quite quickly I noticed the centre dials were vibrating.

Any ideas what might be causing this, apart from that the car is perfect.

I had the vibration on the gear stick and it was the release bearing on the clutch that was gone, causing this. Hope this helps

Maybe its missfiring. Has it lost power?

Take it to the garage.

It seems to have got worse, its a wobbly gear stick, especially when accelerating.

Also the dials where vibrating when I was accelerating & so where the peddles!!

Someone help!

Odd. could be a shot engine mount. Open the bonnet, grab the top of the engine and REALLY yank it about.

No loss of power!

Its weird, the gear stick has recently started vibrating, mainly at high speeds and when accelerating.

The peddles vibrate more, and as I said when accelerating the dash dials seem to judder.

I am very anti-mechanic so you got to bear with me!

Would an engine mount cause the wobble in the peddles and gear stick?

A mate said it might be the clutch?

It could be many things, could even be a bent wheel.

Rev the engine hard whilst the bonnet is open. If the engine is rocking too much then i suggest you get the mountings replaced.

Hi All.

Ok done a bit more testing...

The vibration through the peddles is always present at all speeds. Could just be natural wear I guess.

The wobble on the gear stick and vibration of the dash, in fact you can feel a general vibration through the car.

This happens usually between speeds of 40 - 70. Also when accelerating.

I was doing 80 on the motorway back from work tonight, and there was no wobble of the gear stick or the dash or anything. As soon as I dropped back to 70 the wobble came back.

What is going on? lol

Someone suggested, wheel balance?
