Hi, I'm a newbie, and I want to ask if anyone out there has had problems with their Abarth 595 Competizione 160.
I bought the car brand new in March 2015. First impressions good, Cordolo Red metallic sparkling in the sun, only 5 miles on the clock, and that lovely new car aroma inside.

Four days later, yes 4, the car suddenly lost power and a loud whistling noise and blue smoke from the exhaust announced major turbo problems. The car had only done 360 miles and I was still running it in.

Back to the dealership on a transporter where investigation showed a completely destroyed turbo impeller on the induction side has distributed metal fragments all through the intercooler pipes, intercoolers, inlet manifold and engine.

A new engine, turbo and intercoolers etc were fitted under warranty, and 5 weeks later, I got the car back.

Three weeks later, at 1640 miles recorded, the engine suddenly and without warning lost power. This time an electronic fault rather than a mechanical one, as the engine would only pull up to 3000 revs. I managed to limp home in "limp home mode".

Yet again, for the second time, the car was loaded onto a transporter and sent back to the dealership for investigation. I am currently awaiting news of the cause of this breakdown. I'm absolutely sick fed up about this unreliability.

Has anyone else out there had similar experiences with the Abarth 595 Competizione 160 model?
