Hi, I.ve got a 06 Grande Punto with back doors that are hard to open, the garage i bought it from has failed to rectify this problem, is there anybody in this forum that can help me with this problem. Thanks

Replacing the lock doesn't cure the problem, careful adjustment seems to do the trick. What I have found is the handle needs a positive pull up to its limit as it is cable, not rod, operated.

If cable snapped it wouldn't open at all,the cable itself seems pretty strong so I would rule out stretch(maybe in years to come after extensive use?)all the ones I have done have been cured by 'careful' adjustment.(y)

I have it also but the trick is to pull the handle up in a fast pace and it opens fine every time. If you do it too slow it has a 30% chance of not opening. Anyway I leave it like it is and if it would bother me I can always go back in the 4 years guarantee.

And yes I opened and closed my doors a lot for research until my neigbours started to look out of their windows with the phone in their hands.

There is nothing in the manual telling you how to open doors that are hard to open. Its a new car, so i,m waiting for the so called experts who sold me the car to work it out. Only idiots like you would think the answer is in the manual.

So you ask the members for help and if it's not to your complete satisfaction you just call them idiots? (n)

Last time I will help you.
