Auto Volume

I have a P reg Punto, with a standard stereo, but the auto leveling volume thing is screwed, so the volume keeps fading away as I driving, instead of keeping to my revs.
I think its wired up wrong, has anyone got a wiring diagram, or knows how to fix this?
Any help would be nice.
