Hello, new member and first time owner: 1976 124 Spider (Sport) ~48k original miles.

I need some assistance identifying 3 disconnected wires in the engine bay (car runs fine - EGR seems to be functioning as well as best I can tell)... these wires come out of a main wire harness. (1) Brown, (1) Black, and (1) Orange\Black.

I have not done any testing on them - wanted some input before I try to test for voltage\ohms, etc.

Thanks ALL! Looking forward to a new project!

I think I figured it out - the previous owner appears to have stripped the motor of all\most emissions controls\systems; I looked online and found pictures of '76 Spiders that are emissions plumbed showing the additional air-pump, recirculation valves, etc. that are not on my vehicle. I found a disconnected sensor located at the bottom of the intake manifold that has 2 connection blades (no wires connected). Picture below looking UP from under the intake. There appear to be 2 sensors, only #1 is disconnected.
