Hey just a quicky, is there any way of removing the bravo 1.1 ariel with out have to go up from inside the car, i wish to keep the base of it as i got a new one which screws directly into the standard base..

mine just unscrews from the outside but its a 1.2 on a Y plate so mk2...

however, i know that on a mk1 to get to the arial from the inside it's easy...

unscrew the centre light console and its right under there - thats what someone said on here some time just before xmas when they were trying to do the same!

I have a marea, which I think has the same fitting as the Bravo/a (same as mk1 punto as well).
You can use a small screwdriver, and carefully prise of the oval shaped base piece of plastic. Then all you need to do is undo the central screw and it will come off.
Tip... when you refit the aerial, unscrew the base from the whip, and smear a small amount of copper grease on that and on the base part that allows forward rotation. THis stops it all seizing, which is a common problem.
