Hey guys , im new to the forum so not too sure where im supposed to be posting this , but i have just found out today that my gear box and clutch have gone on my mk2 punto, W reg , just wondering what the damage might be? i had an original quote for 170 for a new clutch , but turns on the gearbox is gone , dont know if its the linkage or anything.

there was oil in the gearbox and its contaminated the clutch , so im not sure whats going on there either.

just wdoner what kind of price to be expecting , only wanting a scrap yard gear box though....

100-150 for a scrappy 5 speed box, shouldnt cost any extra labour than the quote for a new clutch, because the box has to come out any way

Yeah , i see the saw the gearbox already out , just wodnering if they arent going to rip me off. ive had alot of problems with it , when i first bought it 2 and a half years ago i spent 500 on it again for new gear box and clutch , then countless other things.

Just wodnering if its worth repairing it , if its anything over 300 i think im just going to have to declare it off road. quit whislt im down haha
