Fitted 'new' head... guess what? It's no blo*dy different... bo**ocks :(
That'll teach me - I should have gone with my instinct and changed the waterpump when the head gasket was done 1st time - now I got to fight with that blo*dy bottom cambelt cover screw all over...
current thinking now (surely can't be so unlucky as to have two cracked heads) is that the impeller is either corroded?... broken? or slipping on it's shaft when the engine warms up... what the hell else can it be :confused::confused:
:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Cheers Craig,
It's good advice... but I haven't had the option...
The best thing is to buy a runner and run it to see what's what... but then if its tested, why transfer unless body's shot? - and if it's tested body's not likely to be shot...
This is how they end up in scrap yards or (God forbid :nono:) on scrappage schemes - but I'm digging deep here
(it's the thought of all that Waxoyl!!! ha ha - (the laughter of a mad man :nutter: :shakehead:)
Pulls trigger now...

How lovely is irony :p

When I got my car i was considering putting a 5 speed box on it. But figured out that 4 geared car is more economical around town.
Purely body is what is the problem. But not gonna start doing any of that until after the MOT..

I admire your technique - think of something... then talk yourself out of it!
I could do with some lessons in that... as my missus points out: 'You got 2 that aren't right... why do you want another one?'
She's got a point...

Well she got pretty damn hot a couple of times today - sw. off, pull bonnet, jump out squeeze bottom hose like life depends on it - bingo!
There's a big big difference in the temp of the bottom hose to the temp that the top hose then rockets up to - can't bear hand on it (if top hose goes at this point I'm going to get pretty badly scalded!!!)
I've passed up 2 chances to change the water pump as the guy that did me the head gasket 1st time told me there was nothing wrong with it - can't be a blockage in block or bottom feed pipe as squeezing the bottom hose (like a pump) wouldn't make any difference - but as noted above, it does!
Hopefully it will be a colder day tomorrow as this will extend my range... but I think the mild spell is here for a while... - but then again, I got no anti-freeze in now so last thing I want is a hard frost... and it'll more pleasant to change the water pump at the w/end if it stays mild.
Not done one on Panda before - new one has a gasket, but Haynes says to use silicone - what says anyone else?

I would have a 45cl too if i could, and a vauxhall cavalier mk1, and a fiat 500 and a vauxhall victor fb, and a ford 100e and a ford capri mk2 and an austin mini and an austin 1800, aswel as a ford grenada

So yes i also want many cars but will never get them all, at least not in one go ;) (y)

Damn don't you wish you were a millionaire sometimes, I have no space to hold many cars, my parents have 1 car each for work and stuff, my mum has a peugeot 205 convertable in the garage and no more space to spare,
:)
