Hi guys,
I need to replace my nearside rear brake caliper on my 2002 1.9 JTD 5 door dynamic.

I am struggling to find any brakers with the required caliper?

Does anyone know if all stilos of the same year have the same rear brake calipers, or does the 1.9 JTD have a different one??

Thank you (y)

Lee

They're all the same

Why do you need to replace it? A scrapyard one is very likely to be seized too. There are refurbishing seal kits or pistons you can buy (listed on Brakes International website) to renew your old caliper if that's all you need and you'd be better doing that to a scrapyard one too

...and if you think a piston might be seized, are you aware that the pistons on Stilo rear calipers have to be wound in, not just pushed in like many others?

Thanks for replies................

Yeh I know the piston has to be wound in (anticlockwise on N/S/R) but the piston is definately siezed - it has ruined a new set of discs and pads in no time! :(

How difficult is it to refurb a caliper?? I cant afford to have my car off road for any period of time, so was just thinking a scrapyard caliper might be the easiest way to go?

One more question please.......

Can I just confirm, are ALL stilo rear calipers the same regardless of MODEL or YEAR??
The scap yard has one from a petrol 56 plate, a petrol 05 plate and a petrol 52 plate (but mine is a 02 plate diesel)

Thanx again guys - sorry to be a pain!!
