hi people im new to this site but read alot on the grande punto section really good i find. anyway my car is a grande punto 1.2 active took it in for a 3rd service and mot cost me £450 all in, it was fine and eveything was fully workling. yes i no its alot but i thought to hell with it as 3rd service is important as everything gets changed. i went to pik my car up paid the money and details of whats been done to it. went outside to inspect my car all good from outside, got into the my car my stereo unit was pushed out where they fitted a new filtering element so hence the two buttons where the back window heater is and hot air blast wasnt working you coudnt push it. it was like they was stuck. i decided to look at my engine so pulled the catch went to get out of my car, i couldnt cause they broke the door lock mechanism i ad to wind the window down and pull the outside handle to get out. i thought what a joke this place is. so went inside to complain and the women behind the desk said "oh yes i forgot to tel you about that". so its ok about having my money but not about the condition of my car when you finished with it. spoke to the managing director and he was apolagetic and he said we will get it fixed. so iv gota book another apointment and get the work done. so wont be going there again. its like you put good faith into these people and it comes back worse than when you took it in. all i can say is iv learnt a lesson lol not to touch that garage again. so that why im telling you guys to be wary if you ever do use this garage.

At least the manager apologised and they will fix everything for you - for free, I'm assuming?

Better than some garages who would probably deny having anything to do with it and say "it was like that already" and let you get on with it.

its finally fixed now drivers door working properly nw and heaters ok. didnt have to pay anythink which was good. yes i agree with ricambio fiat is fiat and it luks like them mechanics dont like fiats lol. i wont b using them again thats for sure.

Dont trust a word they tell you about fixing the fault they caused, If the guy who you spoke to and promised to sort it for you was Giles make sure you get anything he says in writing as he will deny it later, and the girl on the service desk is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard service manager is not much better and will lie at every oppurtunity, In short Arbury are a deler to avoid as unfortunately you have found out to your cost!!
