Anyone know a good alloy wheel cleaner?

I'm not 100% but I think you need to be careful with these as some are pretty corrosive and can stain or speed up corrosion of the brake calipers.

I'd recommend Bilberry mate. They do a safe wheel cleaner, which is the best stuff I've ever used TBH. Link below, although you can probably find it cheaper. Hope this helps

Are the acidic ones bad to use? I bought the halfords own drand one and it works well but dont want to damage the wheels

a lot of the cheaper end wheel ones contain acid in some form, not necessarily bad bad to use but dont clean as well and if the wheels are already in bad condition then they will cause harm example is the lacquer is breaking up

I use 'Wonder Wheels' on a weekly basis and have done for the past 10 years or so. Never experienced any adverse effect to the wheels, but can strip paint over time off the factory finish of wheel hubs...

I use wonder wheels aswell.
Never had a problem with it. I do however wash down the wheels after using it.

Bilberry is a superb wheel cleanr, you can dilute it 4:1 as well, even then it's more effective than Wonder Wheels, & is 100% PH Neutral too.

Used wonder wheels in the end, worked a treat, and you rinse it off after anyway so doubt it'd do any damage!

yeah I had tried all the non-acid wheel cleaners, and they had very little effect, gave in and used 'wonder wheels' and was impressed at how it removed stuck on brake dust etc with little effort.

The Bilberry I use on all the cars I do is excellent, never have the need to resort to anything stonger, apart from sometimes a little Tar Remover on the really bad tar/glue spots.
