Hi all,

After someone to spray front and rear bumpers for daughter's Seicento (Sporting 2001 on bumpers).

The colour is (ROSSO SCILLA 132/F). I've been quoted but cannot afford the price, its either spray them as the car, (which I'd like), or spray em black - which I could probably do myself.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers

are they already colour coded bumpers?

Maybe if u prep them, it might take down the price a bit?

Otherwise, surely someone on here who could do 'em

Hi,

They were originally a plain red, however daughters car is metallic darker red. We have rubbed them down, so they are ready for primer etc.

There's no great rush, (could be part of her Christmas present...)?

Just looking for helpful suggestions really, it's a first car for her, she loves it and really wants to make it more special, problem is its being done on a shoestring!

Cheers

Cheap and good rarely go hand in hand unless you happen to know someone who does it for a living and can give you 'mates rates'. If you want it done well, pay the price for it - if you want it done cheaply, do it yourself - you can always take your time, proper preparation is the key to a good finish.

Edit: DIY red will look better than DIY black, black tends to show imperfections more obviously than most other colours IMO.

I would have thought metallic red would be a handful to spraycan??

Sprayed some bumper headlight washer covers once, metallic silver and they were just about ok given their size, but to 'Halfords' colour a whole bumper, might be expecting too much from me?

Anyone had any bodywork done to a Rosso Red Fiat recently and got any paint left over??

Cheers
