Technical anyone done the tipo turbo yet ?

well been along time since ive been on here , too many projects on my hand ,

will try and get pics up soon

did have a website blog thingy on it with loads of pictures but not touched for a year and just started to get back into it ,


my 94 tipo had been gutted , engine coming out some time this month and 90% of bodywork done , body kit, flushed boot , spoiler , led side repeaters ,carbon firbre wing mirrors , de locked , shaved handels ,and 100% doing coupe 20v turbo conversion , carbon fibre bonnet next and respray

been trying to get hold of the bloke in bulgaria but no joy , has anyone else attempted this as looking for advise , i know its a big job , engine ,gearbox , driveshafts , suspension , brakes , few other bits

but things like wiring loom , can i keep this the same or will i need coupe loom , and would like to get as much info as i can.

also read that someones tipo is packing up , the engine is coming out of my 1.4ie action this month , and going scrap , its not been run for about 2 years but if there is anything people could need , let me know and will be free providing you pay postage ( maybe this should go in classifieds(sorry))

coupe's are based on the tipo and you will be amazed how much actually bolts straight on.
You WILL need wiring loom from the 20v turbo well at least the engine management loom, 20v turbo fuel pump, I would advise using the 20v turbo brakes, Engine and gearbox, driveshafts, engine mounts and gearlinkages.

if you are breaking a tipo I will have any panels spare boot, bonnet wings, I'll aim to collect, doors too if its a 3 door.

Yeah! Тhe Bulgarian Tipo again! I'm proud of it!! Not to mention the owner!!
It's equiped with 4x4 system from a Delta Integrale!

yup the 4wd system will just bolt on as they have the same gearbox mounts (bolting it to the block) but have to modify rear trailing arms to fit drive shaft into them or install the whole delta rear suspension unit (fair bit of work)

Hallo, I'm just working on conversion of my Tipo 1.8 on turbo.
New engine will be 2.0 16vT from Coupe, with Novitec chip with aprox. 260 hp. I also have complete suspension, electrics, brakes, shafts, gear box etc from Coupe.
My Tipo is also 3 door model, fully equipped (air-cond, leather interior, electric sun roof etc), Estoril blue metallic...

hi would it be possible to have the coil and coil amplifier from your tipo if these are being removed think the part i need is the amplifier(bolted to the bulkhead with 2 13mm bolts) also the coil and ignition leads please i will gladly pay for postage.

When you do a coupe engine swap, make sure you take the keysensor with it, i've read a topic on it somewhere. The ignition keysensor reds the keycode from the coupe's key and activates the ecu. So it will be impossible to start without it..I'll look for the site where it was on.
