Saw this in one scottish paper...

The Scottish Executive have banned the use of speed cameras in anywhere that is NOT an accident blackspot. This means that at least a third of the cameras will go. To have a camera an area MUST have suffered 4 collisions resulting in death or serious injury AND 8 collisions involving personal injury in the last 3 years.

Seems they have taken this move due to a lack of public confidence oin the sighting of cameras.

So, not all politicians are daft then!!

England has always followed Scottish law so it won't be too long before they do the same here (with a bit of luck)

Starthy Park aint too bad at all. Some really nice motors there on a Sunday night.

www.strathycruise.com

Check out the vids there quite good. I've got a picture of my motor on there somewhere in the images section lol.

sometimes there's some good action if they open up the bigger carpark they have there (some1 comes along with a big rope and a few cars pull away massive big bolders so u can get in) and then theres plenty of room for some drifting if ur up to it. Just a pity my poxy 1400 aint.

Ayr shore's a good place to go as well but not really as good an atmosphere. In strathy its a carpark situation whwere every1 gets out there cars and has a laugh but Ayr's just along a big esplanade where the police go crazy if u double park although there is a big carpark at the end of the road but the speed bumps are a no no for most lowered chariots. They are honestly about 3 foot high and about the same wide. Funny watching folk cringe as they hear there zorst scrape while going over it sideways.

I've got a 1.2 bravo at the moment, it's the margarita orange one, jus got my 17's few weeks ago and im skint now, ayr shore aint that bad sometimes, i know what u mean bout those speed bumps tho! they have to be the largest speed bumps i have ever come across, there covered in paint from everyones car!

so is strathy park worth goin 2?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Any Scottish ownere on this site?

Yeah mate strathys worth a look.

Only on a Sunday night though mate. Round about 7.30 its busy and by 9 u cant move in there. lol

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Any Scottish ownere on this site?

That means that most of the speed camera's I pass on the way to uni will have to be removed, good to hear!!

Strathy is great in the warmer weather but isn't quite so busy during the winter although its still worth a visit. If anyone is close to Falkirk you should come through to the Falkirk Wheel Cruise this Thursday. The new scottish modified car magazine will be covering it so it can be featured in the first issue of the magazine which is out in jan/feb. Anyone interested then let me know if you need help with directions.

How often is there a cruise at Falkirk? Is it busy there most weekends?

I live in Strathclyde area so not too far from there. Might be worth a visit. Is it in the carpark next to the wheel and visitors centre?
